From all of us

Thank you for letting us be part of your home

American Home opened its doors in 1936. For 90 years, generations of New Mexicans have walked through them to furnish first apartments, build homes together, welcome children and gather with family and friends.

Despite every effort to find a way forward, we were not able to secure what the company needed to continue. American Home is going out of business, and we have begun an orderly liquidation of our store and backstock inventory.

We've always tried to offer quality furniture at a fair price, with service and integrity you could count on. That doesn't change now. Our team will keep taking care of every guest, answering your questions and helping you understand your options, right up to the last day.

With gratitude, everyone at American Home

Thank you to the community partners we've been proud to support

and the many other organizations working for arts, education, health, food security, families and animals across New Mexico.

Good questions

Before you come in

Anything else? Call the store at 505-883-2211.

What's available?

Everything in our showroom and backstock: furniture, mattresses, rugs and more. Selection changes every day. See store for details.

Will prices go lower?

Yes. Everything is priced to move, and discounts will keep increasing until all product is gone. Just remember it's first come, first served, so the piece you're waiting on may not be here tomorrow.

Can you hold something for me?

No. We're not holding anything. Everything is first come, first served.

Can I return or exchange something?

No. This is a liquidation and everything is sold as-is. All sales are final: no refunds, no exchanges, no returns. Look each piece over carefully and measure your space before you buy.

Do you deliver?

Not during this event. All items are customer pickup only. Plan to bring a truck, trailer or vehicle that fits your purchase, and ask a team member about pickup timing when you buy.

Why is American Home closing?

We explored every path we could to keep going, but weren't able to secure the capital needed to restore our inventory and financial stability. Higher prices driven in part by tariffs, rising transportation costs and families putting off big purchases have hit furniture retailers across the country, and together those pressures were more than we could overcome.

Which store is open?

Just one: 2100 Carlisle Blvd NE, Suite B, at I-40 & Carlisle in Albuquerque. It's our last open location.

I have an existing order, gift card or warranty. Who do I contact?

Call the store at 505-883-2211 or email [email protected] and our customer service team will help with your specific situation.
