At American Home Furniture & Mattress, we understand you might prefer to pick up your new furniture directly. Our convenient customer pick-up service allows you to get your items quickly and at your own pace.

Important Pick Up Tips

Schedule Your Pick-up Online
  • Prior scheduling your pick-up time will ensure a timely service. While walk-ins are always welcome, a scheduled appointment will minimize your wait!
  • It is recommended that an adequately sized vehicle is used to pick-up. Please make sure the vehicle is clear of any obstructions to insure a safe load. We will not force merchandise into a vehicle, nor will we load it in a manner that may be unsafe for travel.
  • Please inform the CPU Office of an alternate pick-up person or a third party pick up.
  • Bring tarps, tie-downs, and any other protection you may need to protect your items from weather, road debris, or anything you might anticipate damaging your items.
  • If you require assembly, an assembly charge per order and up to a 5-business day notice may be required. Certain items are excluded. Contact us for further details and scheduling.

Rental Vehicle and Payment Verification Requirements for Pick Up

  • General Rule: Merchandise can only be released to the "Sold To" customer. A Photo ID is required, and the name on the sales order must match your Photo ID.
  • Credit Card Purchases: The original credit card used for the purchase must be presented. Verify the driver's license matches the name on the sales order and the credit card, and confirm the last four digits of the credit card match those used for the transaction.
  • Financed Purchases: A charge card is not necessary, but your Photo ID must match the name on the sales order.
  • Cash Purchases: Your Photo ID must match the name on the sales order.
  • Check Purchases: Your Photo ID must match the name on the sales order. Please note, in-state checks have a **five working-day** waiting period, and out-of-state checks have a **ten working-day** waiting period before merchandise can be released.
  • Rental Truck Pick-Ups: If using a U-Haul or rental truck, the name on the order must match your Photo ID. Additionally, the pick-up must be authorized for release by the Customer Pick Up department after all verification steps are complete.
